Nielsen has five web presses - all with unique capabilities. Three full webs and two half webs with five to eight color capabilities. What does this mean to you?
With such a broad spectrum of web capacity, we can efficiently produce the majority - and perhaps all - of your web press projects.
Our full web presses can provide a variety of sizes in varying ranges of 8-1/2" x 11" and 8-3/8" x 10-7/8" formats and can print up to six colors. These webs have inline finishing capabilities as well as signature folding, die-cutting, remoistenable glue, scratch-n-sniff, perfing, and scoring.
Nielsen's half web presses can print up to eight colors and boast inline finishing and other similar features offered by the full web equipment. The half web formats are quite conducive to direct mail designs as well as signature folding of smaller type booklets.
All of the presses are heatset webs that produce a high gloss finish. Varnish is typically not needed but is often added for additional protection and special effects. Our prepress systems and proofing devices are calibrated to industry standards as well as to the print capabilities of the presses so our ability to match our proofs is exceptional. For multi-form projects, we have the capacity and flexibility to run projects on various pieces of equipment to maximize cycle time without sacrificing quality.
