Building Lenticular Files

Printer Friendly

There are a few basics to follow when building the art for your lenticular print project. To be fair, I've included a list for left-brainers, and a visual demo further below for right-brainers. You can thank me later.  =)

  1. Download and Read the Design Considerations
  2. Fully Layered Photoshop File only: What this means is nothing flattened. What this does not mean is In Design, Publisher, Word or Quark files please.
  3. Minimum of 300 dpi at final output size
  4. Make sure to note trim and bleed marks
  5. For hand-held 3D, be sure to include at least an additional 2cm of extra background image on left and right side for parallax
  6. Dont forget the fonts!
  7. Request a set of Lenticular Effects cards to see best practices before you start
  8. Send us your concept for a no obligation lenticular success analysis
