Community Relations Activities Support Youth, Education, Inclusion and Diversity

Through sponsorships and alliances, RR Donnelley strives to build strong relationships with its employee, community, and marketplace partners.

Community Relations

The RR Donnelley Foundation believes that a combination of values to strengthen the communities in which the employees of R. R. Donnelley & Sons live and work. Drawing on its tradition of supporting youth, education, inclusion and diversity, the Foundation is responsive to the emerging needs that challenge our employees and their communities. The Foundation works to enhance the support it provides by acting in collaboratively with other agencies that help us enable our mission.

Inclusion

RR Donnelley builds strong and lasting relationships with diverse partners in the workplace, marketplace and community. We strive to create a workplace in which behaviors, practices, and policies promote respect, inclusion, utilization, development and career progress of talent across all forms of diversity. In the community, we support efforts and activities that promote inclusion and marketplace opportunities for underserved members.

Marketing & Sales

Marketing and Sales build relationships with current or potential customers through the support of charitable activities. The goal of our sales and marketing efforts is achieve profitable growth, expand our operations globally in areas that capitalize on our core strengths and pursue new business opportunities that build on our print-related competencies, a key business strategy.

Contribution Guidelines

1. Qualifying Organizations
• A nonprofit organization with 501 (c) (3) status issued by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service.
• An instrumentality of government such as a public school, a public library, or a city operated recreation program.
2. Support Types
Support of non-profits is extended to civic, community, professional and marketplace partners in many different ways and includes:
• Monetary Contributions/Grants
• Sponsorship of Events
• Volunteering
• Memberships
• Internship Opportunities

RR Donnelley Foundation

• In addition to the company’s local giving, the RR Donnelley Foundation generally focuses on charitable giving in the areas of youth, education, inclusion and diversity.
• To process a Grant with the RR Donnelley Foundation, organizations must fill out a Grant Request Form (see attachment) and submit it to communityrelations@rrd.com, along with the following documents:
• 501 (c) (3) Confirmation Letter (required)
• Board of Directors (optional)
• Audited Financial Statement (optional)
• The Foundation usually does not:
• Contribute printing
• Make grants to religious organizations
• Make grants to political organizations
• Make grants for television, radio, film or video
• Make grants for hospitals, clinical care, medical research or equipment
• Award scholarships, except through the National Merit Scholarship Program
