Situation:
Customer A, one of the nation's largest financial institutions, is one of the first to offer the recently allowed Health Savings Accounts (HSAs). An HSA is a tax-favored savings account combined with a qualifying high-deductible health insurance policy. This new emerging market has projected annual growth of 20% (30,000,000) by 2011. In addition to financial institutions, insurance carriers (managed care), consultants, third party administrators, and companies are looking for fulfillment and outsourcing.

Customer A needed to develop and implement enrollment and welcome kits as fulfillment materials associated with HSAs, and wanted the provider to have expandable capacity as well as expertise. RR Donnelley Business Communication Services (BCS) is able to meet all of Customer A's requirements and more.

Solution:
BCS' Dynamic Document booklet solution saves the customer time and money on traditional kit building and communicates more effectively using personalization and customization within their user-friendly booklets. Another BCS client, Open Solutions, Inc., provides the information processing services. The enrollment kit solution is a perfect bound booklet that includes a letter, an NCR application form, agreement and privacy policy, pricing and rate sheets, and a return envelope. The welcome kit solution is a saddle-stitched booklet that includes a personalized cover letter, information pages, MICR checks, and deposit coupons.

Estimated mailing for the current year is over 80,000 outgoing packages. Packages are mailed first class to the "employee" from the St. Charles, IL facility, and turnaround time after data is received is 2 days.
